At Aya Yoga Oasis we embrace our differences - and thrive together in community. Our 200-hour training will empower you to become a mindful, intentional teacher through an integrated training curriculum that emphasizes teaching to all levels and abilities.
Over the course of five months, you will dive deep into a better understanding of your own personal practice, study rich history, philosophy, and the origins of the practice, learn foundational teaching techniques and methodology, begin to craft your own unique voice and share your experiences in a supportive community.

185 hours of in-person training, mentorship, and practice

Learn and practice teaching Aya's signature FIRE (power vinyasa) and WATER (slow flow vinyasa) sequencing blueprint.
Adapt sequence blueprints to create various classes for different levels, themes, and energetic effects.
Inclusive language and teaching to diverse audiences.

Meditation basics and types of meditation
Establishing a personal meditation practice
How and why to include meditation in Asana-focused classes

Pranayama

Sanskrit:
Terms and basics of the root language of yoga
Sanskrit names of the poses in the Fire and Water sequences

Self-study:
5 one-on-one meetings with yoga mentor
Attend a minimum of 12 group classes
Observe 4 group classes
Complete detailed self-inquiry into how Western culture impacts your practice
Complete all homework as assigned and receive a passing grade on final exam
