Aya’s Philosophy:

We believe that every individual is unique and that yoga is not a one size fits all practice.

We believe that our teachers are guides, not gurus.

We believe that science and yoga co-exist in harmony.

We believe community creates stability.

We believe that that all people deserve equal rights and access to healing spaces.

Carrie and Steve are longtime Burien residents who are passionate about adventure, exploration, culture, and expanding their knowledge. They opened Aya Yoga Oasis in 2019 as they came to realize there was a need in the local community. Aya is a community-centered yoga studio where the practice of yoga includes more than just physical fitness; yoga is a spiritual and mental practice that leads to mental and physical wellness for individuals and the entire community.
